processor
The processor, also known as “microprocessor” is a small chip located in computers and other electronic devices we may use. It has a basic job to receive input, process and provide the appropriate output. Modern processors are advanced enough to handle trillions of calculations per second.
The processor can also be referred to as the CPU or “central processing unit”. All basic processes are handled such as processing mouse and keyboard input and running applications.

motherboard
The motherboard is the main circuit board of the computer and known as the mainboard or logic board. Attached to the mother board are other components such as the CPU, ROM, memory RAM expansion slots, PCI slots and USB ports. IT also includes controllers for devices like the hard drive, DVD drive, keyboard, and mouse. Motherboards are the hub of making everything work on your computer.
Each motherboard has a collection of chips and controllers known as the chipset. When new motherboards are produced, they often use new chipsets. These boards are typically more efficient and faster than their predecessors

BIOS
BIOS stands for “Basic Input/output System”. The BIOS is a program pre-installed on Windows based computers that the computer uses to start up. The BIOS is accessed by the CPU even before the operating system is loaded. BIOS ensures and checks all your hardware connections and locates all your devices. If everything is okay, it loads the operating system into the computer’s memory and finishes the boot up process.
The BIOS is located in the ROM (Read-only-Memory) of the computer. More precisely, it resides in an erasable programmable read only memory (EPROM) chip.
